Ukrainian Forces take back Kherson , daily update from the Front Line

Do you even know where Kharkiv is?

Russia never took Kharkiv. It was one of the main objectives of the invasion in February, second only to Kiev. They advanced into Kharkiv city at the end of February but were pushed back out and dozens of Russian troops were captured.

They had it almost encircled, and for two months they shelled it daily, but were never able to re-enter the city.

Beginning of May, the UA went on the offensive and began pushing the Russians back to the border and retaking the surrounding villages. The Russians around Kharkiv have been slowly losing ground ever since.

Yeah, this is exactly the thing what the Russians keep saying since 2014.
They werent rocketing villages and taking over cities at that time. Their words seem quite believable now.

Maybe to some extent, yes. But if you take a look at the dynamics of their invasion, you should admit that they are not only slowing down, but also backtracking.

Their most territorial gains were in March. Since then, not only haven't they gained significant ground, but have lost more territory than they captured. They backtracked entirely from the North, drew back from strategically important Kharkiv and Mykolaiv.

Yes, they still gains the ground in the Donbas region. But even there they are slowing down. It is not even for sure whether they manage to take all that region till the end of the year.

Which is of course why your hero Putin went begging for drones in Iran

LOL

Putin fucked up doing this thing.

The russian general Vitaliy Gerasimov was “improved” near Kharkiv. Unlike those “50 NATO generals killed in Azovstal” our targets have names and actually exist in real life. Until they turn into the sunflowers, of course. Ps. It’s confirmed by the Ukrainian Intelligence that this particular general was eliminated near Kharkiv between March and May 2022. Pps. Russian media tried to debunk this information, claiming that in late May 2022 general was awarded a medal but the russian press-service made zero pictures of this prestige event. What an awful press-service!

He was the son of Valery Gerasimov, the Chief of the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces (the highest ranking officer, and second only to Shoigu).

The father was (for a short time) the commander of all Russian forces in Ukraine, but he was injured in the strike on the 6th CAA HQ in Izium a few days after he was appointed to the position by Putin. He hasn't been seen in public since then, and he doesn't appear to be involved in Ukraine any more.
