KYIV — Ukraine currently doesn’t have the military strength to retake all the territory Russia has occupied since 2014, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy told French daily Le Parisien on Wednesday.

But that doesn’t mean Kyiv is about to recognize its Moscow-controlled lands as belonging to Russia, he added.

“Legally, we cannot give up our territories. This is prohibited by the constitution. But let’s not use such big words. Russia actually controls part of our territory today,” Zelenskyy said in response to a question as to how far Kyiv is prepared to compromise to end the war following Moscow’s February 2022 full-scale invasion.

Well,
Because of Russia using mercs and N Korean soldiers the path is open for NATO to bring troops in to supplement Zelensky's forces. And ultimately that is what Zelensky wants.

Russia has had devastating losses from the meat wave approach to taking ground in offensive maneuvers. (Offensive warfare is always manpower expensive)

However, Russia is collapsing financially from this war because of sanctions and unregulated spending on war craft. Putin himself is not far from facing his own coup. He is trying to silence/kill all opposition to his leadership, but currently it's a game of wackamole with all those seeking his demise. (Rats are abandoning ship as fast as feasibly possible....no one wants to be left standing holding the Putin bag)

The blame game has begun.

So....what remains of Russian Soldiers in Ukraine need leadership to move them back home. Russia will never be able to keep the taken ground. Ukraine for them will be another Afghanistan for them. (They lost and eventually abandoned there too)

Russia currently holds most of the mining areas in Ukraine which was roughly 60% of Ukraine's economy before Russia invaded. Russia doesn't want to lose those as the minerals are desired for lithium batteries. (And China doesn't want to sell them to us anymore)

So....we shall see what comes.
Will Russia be forced financially to give up in Ukraine?
Will there be enough Ukrainians alive to repopulate Ukraine?

Does Russia have enough boats left to actually utilize the Crimean peninsula and Sevastopol? (They are rapidly running out)

Zelensky isn't getting the money as much as the democrats in congress actually being the military industrial complex.

Details: The National Bank of Ukraine projects GDP growth of 4% in 2024 and 4.3% in 2025. The currency remains stable and the interest rate of 13.5% is the lowest in 30 months.


In contrast, in the horde , interest rates may soon rise to 23% to curb the rouble's decline. Banks are in a fragile state and GDP growth is projected to be just 0.5-1.5% in 2025.
