This was also made possible with tying for second warmest dec on record!!!:eusa_whistle: Not bad for a -enso year. Not bad at all.

"4th warmest year on record" is another way of saying that temperatures have been flat.

We don't count trends based on valleys or mountains ;) We count trends based on the moving "means" of the avg over time. :eusa_angel: What this shows is the 1990's were very much dictated by the huge volcano's and the 2000-2010's were more enso dictated.

What does this tell us?
1. The 1990's super warming = 1/3rd rebound.
2. 2000-2014 are very much enso...

So this explains most of the pause. Not all of it of course but that can be explained with increase of aerosols from china and -pdo.

Currently, in the real world, 2010 is tied with 2005 as the warmest year on record globally.

All of the warmest years on record have occurred since 1998. Even the coolest years since 1998 are warmer than any of the years on record before 1998.

That's another way of saying "temperatures have been flat."

Only if you're very, very retarded......so I guess it could seem that way to you, little crackpot. Sane people laugh at you.

Wrong. That's exactly what it says. If the latest temperature is not the record, then temperatures are not increasing.

What is shows is that since 1998 temperatures have been flat or declining. Your theories about why are subject to debate.

Well, surface temperatures are warming at a much reduced rate. I don't think anyone's global temperatures are actually declining.

HOWEVER, your last sentence is CORRECT! The reasons that temperatures have behaved the way that they have for the last 15 years (or the last 150 years) are open to debate. But, when you say they are because AGW is false, that's not debating.

If you want to debate - as you just suggested - you need to bring some evidence to the table.

So... whaddya got?
