The difference is she is a old school Democrat. She is one of the Democrats that still loves America. Now Dems have a history of bad and stupid ideas, Republicans do also just not as many, but there was a time most Dems still loved america and wanted what was best for it.

But now unless they are a hardcore dem that is as far left as possible and use worst case scenario and extreme language to describe everything, diametrically opposed to the right and hate everyone that doesn't agree with them people like you say they aren't a Dem.

Your views closely match mine about Gabbard being more like a traditional Democrat. There are still many around, they’ve just been drastically outnumbered by progressives and leftists and don’t get much airtime.

I knew nada about Gabbard until taking a “which candidates match your political viewpoints” in 2016. The plural form of candidates was not a typo btw, because answering the platform questions produces statistical comparisons with more than one candidate. My answers matched more than one candidate to the tune of 83% and higher. Gabbard’s platform was not far left or there’s no way I would’ve had more than 80% agreement with her views. I think it was around 85% which surprised me. Gabbard’s 2016 stance on issues was more moderate left/traditional Dem.

I support a non-intervention approach with foreign wars but I do expect the United States to honor its word, so therein lies the rub. Presidents need to follow through on paper when vocalizing promises, that btw do not led to unnecessary deaths and wars that can be prevented through negotiations. A strong leader is skillful in figuring out a win-win solution, or the closest attempt to it, and not appearing to cheer for wars in advance to ensure they happen.

Media propaganda continues to escalate certain wars it favors that do not need any outside promotions. Many corruptive news sources predict war daily with pro-war quotes and no alternatives mentioned. Yesterday, no reports from the day before that both leaders were open to talks. We only read that they were both not giving up. What happened to not reporting that talks were still in the works? Were crooked corp media heads forced to print today that talks are in fact still being pursued?
