Trump jacked up tariffs on China and others, promising it’d save American jobs and make the U.S. a manufacturing powerhouse. His fans loved the tough talk, but it backfired—prices shot up, farmers got slammed by retaliation, and the trade deficit barely moved. The big win he hyped? Never happened. Instead, regular folks paid more at the store, and businesses scrambled with messed-up supply chains. It was all noise, no results.

Now, Trump’s quietly backing off his big tariff plan, sliding closer to Biden’s approach. Good move! His original strategy flopped, and even he sees it. Reports say he’s cutting back to avoid more economic pain. It’s a rare moment of swallowing pride…his tariffs didn’t deliver, and copying Biden’s playbook is the sanest move he’s got left. Reality’s a tough teacher.

It's called "Negotiation" you fucking idiot.

You're nothing more than one of several paid trolls in here. The Board Jedi should ban you in all your iterations
You get so triggered when Trump flip-flops. You can’t even name what Trump got in return but you go with a cute word because you’re feeling embarrassed.

Biden on the other hand loved low tariffs.

Biden raised US tariffs in May of 2024, so you are lying. Also, the deal with China currently favors us over China, and is better than before Trump took office, so it is a win because the goal was for China to reduce their tariffs, below the standard when Trump took office.

Canadas economy is very weak, thanks in large part due to the Creepy Ones, Trumps tariffs have not helped and there are.even suggestions by some to "let go" of the auto industry in bankrupt Ontario since Trump is focused on bringing this back.

I can't even imagine how the renegotiation of USMCA will turn out. The Creepy Ones forcing our best and brightest out of the country, while the six figure mobsters make out like bandits and some of the country threaten separation.

Some of our having our homes stolen from us after decades of employment interference and other criminal activities against us. Therefore, some of us are forced to speak the truth.

If Trump wants to defeat China he will, just as he is milking Canada and forcing manufacturing out of the country just as our talent leaves. The question is about commitment. It's not easy taking arrows from those who don't want America to win.

And now Trump is bringing tariffs down to the same level that Biden raised them to. It was the sweet spot. Immensely lower than Trump’s failed tariff percentages.
Flippity flop.
Thanks Don Biden.

Which tariffs did Biden lower? Which did he raise?

:laughing0301: Trump wins and and you lose. That is where the rubber meets the road.
Trump stated what his plans were prior to the raising of the tariffs. He stated it was
a negotiating chip.
Not a very good attempt at spinning a yarn on your behalf, slugger.

Perhaps this will help you.

Biden loved low tariffs for or trade partners.....but agreed to allow higher tariffs on our exports.

Oh.....and you're an idiot.

Trump always opens negotiations aggressively and then lowers his demands later.

It makes the folks you're negotiating with think they're getting more than they settled for.

Nope, China has lowered their tariffs to less than what we had at the beginning of the year, we are charging China less in tariffs as well. Not a sweet spot a better spot. This will encourage the Chinese to buy more US products and allow us to buy Chinese products for less. It’s a win win, which is what we needed. BTW, what tariffs did Biden increase last year and what products, also, why did Biden keep Trumps tariffs when he became President in 2021?

Biden targeted his tariffs. Trump put a tariff on everything. There is a difference. Learn it.

Biden's plan? Have you not been following along? Even Democrats have come forward saying Biden was out to lunch most of the 4 years.
