The media has made a big-to-do about President Donald Trump's one hundred days in office and as expected there was a heavy focus on Trump's "try to figure it out as we go" strategy on tariff's which we now know has given us a negative GDP growth for the first quarter and almost certainly a recession and higher prices for the American consumer. Some media outlets have tried to give President Trump a good grade on some subjects but really they are not giving a fully accurate analysis the truth of the matter is that every significant matter President Trump has touched he has screwed up for the American people! The Wall Street Journal in their principal editorial article yesterday said Trump has done well on the energy issue and southern border issue but if they considered America's best interests at heart they would recognize that he has screwed these issues up too; the Trump administration has or is slated to approve more Natural Gas export terminals but that is an incredibly stupid move fist off America is the largest Natural Gas exporter in the world and before President Trump was sworn in this January there was uncompleted LNG export terminals in the works America has extremely low natural gas prices which is extremely valuable to America from a low electricity price, cheap heating and inexpensive various manufacturing feed stock standpoint since natural gas in America is largely produced in shale fields which have a very limited life span and are not universally popular across America future shale production will not be plentiful and will lead to higher natural gas prices, so Trump here is trading some of America's future prosperity for short term reward to energy investors. On the southern border Trump has managed to ruin one fortuitous outcome of the recent elections which was that the American people en masse wanted illegal immigration stopped with his efforts to deny illegal immigrants due process and his decision to do things like stop distinguishing between long-term productive immigrants and criminal immigrants. On this overall issue Trump recently revealed one major problem with his ability to do a good job as President, Trump recently said there is approximately twenty plus million illegal immigrants in America you cannot expect my administration to give all twenty plus million due process. He is so unknowledgeable about policy, that is the whole point behind the comprehensive immigration reform movement because the U.S. government practically will not be able to legally deport twenty plus million illegal immigrants; prudent Americans want the federal government to permanently stop and shutdown the foreigners illegally emigrating to America and once they have proven they have solved the incoming problem then we can legalize the illegals that have been in America for a moderate to long period of time and solve this problem for America!

The media has really missed the most alarming lesson about Trump's one hundred days in office, it is Trump's behavior that the media treats as a footnote about the Trump administration that is the most dangerous aspect of the Trump Presidency. No President heretofore in America's history has used the President's regulatory power as a weapon to force Americans and American businesses to submit to his will in matters unrelated to the subject of the regulatory power in question. It is astonishing and alarming beyond words how this President coerces even the most powerful businesses to bend to his will with his veiled and unveiled threats of the use of the President's regulatory power. America's most prestigious law firms which are supposed to be champions of rights and to be unintimidatable acting like they are the cowardly lion character in the Wizard of Oz and agreeing to Trump's terms and giving unheard of amounts of free legal work. Or this past week Amazon, America's largest or second largest retailer, when they made a media release that the company on their receipts for customers was going to report how much of the price the customer paid was due to the Trump administration' s tariff's; and how Trump that day telephoned the CEO and principle owner of Amazon, Jeff Bezos, and shut down that action by the company. Now Jeff Bezos is the third richest man in the world and is largely universally viewed as in the select elite group of America's Oligarchs he is a devout globalist he is one-hundred percent against trade barriers as a matter of fact he recently shockingly implemented a policy for the Washington Post which he owns that their editorial pages are to always defend personal liberties and free markets and to not allow any article to be published that violates these principles; and Mr. Bezos caved on this call with Trump like he was a house of cards and a key card was yanked out, not standing up for the American consumer and the education of them about these poorly thought out tariffs which will raise prices!

America cannot do anything about this "authority abusing" Donald Trump he won last year's election so we are stuck with him for the next three and a half years as President. But once he gets out of office both bodies in Congress in bipartisan majorities should pass the same resolution calling out this abuse of power by the President where the President's regulatory power is used as a weapon to penalize a person or business in America where the impetus for the use of this power is not the subject matter of the regulation but ulterior reasons. This should be labeled as not consistent with American values and a person that holds the character where they would abuse power like this is "unfit" to be President of the United States! It is important for the Congress to do this so America never sees a person like President Trump from this vantage point become President again! The world has seen before this Trump like abuse of power; if people in America were asked who is the most abusive authoritarian leader in the world many many American's would say Vladimir Putin, the President of Russia. Well Mr. Putin on his way to power followed this play book of Donald Trump, after the fall of the Soviet Union in the 1990's a few Russian Oligarchs built large Russian energy companies; these Russian energy companies offered power to Putin because the wealth of these energy companies could be used by Putin to build a powerful army and police state. So what did Vladimir Putin do he without justification conducted investigations into these energy companies and found wrongdoing where none existed and fined and criminally charged these oligarchs out of their companies. A President's abuse and misuse of regulatory power is crystal clear governmental wrongdoing and the American people need to shut this behavior down like the sky is falling on it or our Democracy and the rich quality of life it provides will be a victim to this wrongdoing!

Trump after 100 days is an A+++!!! Trump has started and done what he promised to do. Something Biden never did. Neither did Obummer. Your stupid statement that he's trying as we go is just stupid. Trump and his cabinet are top notch and being successful in everything they have been given to do. Everything. Border closed. Gangs, Terrorists, bad people are being put away or deported out of the country. Inflation continues downward. Employment upward. Oil prices down. Oil production up and natural gas up. Winning on the trade wars as well. Size of the Federal Government is down and that's why GPD is down so no recession. Men in women's sports being stopped. No new wars and the wars going on are being worked on. So much more... Democrats are losers!

Are you suggesting Bezos is the Poster Boy for liberty and human rights? I have no grudge against him but does he owe any obligation to humanity to ensure that slave labour isn't funded in the Chinese made goods he ships?

How about for the outsourcing of manufacturing which he facilitates through his company that made the once employed now jobless and addicted to poisons, their sub-ingredients also "made in China"?

How did he direct the Washington Post to operate during covid? Did he push back against the shutting down long after the facts were out? Of course not, Amazon profited. He also made the federal taxpayer fund Chinese made shipping into the U.S.

Bezos has done some good and he is a shrewed businessman, he is no Elon Musk though and he certainly doesn't deserve to stand on too high of a pedestal.

Thus far, Trump deserves an "A" for how he has dealt with China. An "A+" on your border. An "A" on his cabinet choices. An "A+" on his transparency.

There is probably room for improvement on how he has navigated the resistance via the courts to the deportations. Also how he has handled the issue of undesirables, some of his wording around free speech, exploring the imprisoning of Americans in other countries (this was a real hot potato that he needed to distance himself from quickly).

Overall, he is a transformational president there is no question.

He is also trying to end a couple of wars while ensuring fair trade in the U.S which I guarantee will lead to more jobs and GOP growth once trade deals are finalized.

His mind constantly works. He is the type to brainstorm, gather as many ideas from others, implement in some cases and ensure that smart people are listened to. Perhaps I am biased because my mind does the same. It's both a gift and a curse I assure you.

The best leaders don't have to have all the answers, they just has to be able to pick people who are generally as smart or smarter than them and not be too proud to not get them involved in the decision making process. Trump does that. He has the classic American leadership quality.

The media cannot stand that Main Street support him so heavily. Listen to his supporters. They know it will take time, they don't care about the short term slipping of the stock market, they want your economy fixed.

This is impossible to do in 3-6 months. Within 18-24 months it will be flying and that's probably a conservative estimate.

More importantly, even after he leaves office, trade deals will be in place, tariffs will be embraced and a benefit where nations are unfair. Thus, his economic philosophy could impact generations in the future. 100 Years in the future for all we know!

Trump is as open a President we have ever had. He talks to us. His administration talks to us. Appreciate it. I look at his administration and then listen to the Progs every day. It is two opposites. One an extremist political party that went from Democrat to Progressive and is on route to Communist and the Trump administration which is in real terms is populist moderate incorporating common sense.

Jeez. Verbose much? Ever hear of the concept known as “paragraphs?”

Your jaundiced view jumps off the page immediately. So, after the first sentence or two, I decided your post isn’t worth wading through.

Trump could have invented a cure for cancer and the crazy TDS hypocrites on the left would find a way to give him a "F". Actually it's a compliment to Trump that the TDS left expected him to do miracles in three months and all he did was to close the borders that Biden said would take an act of congress and little stuff like bring home two political prisoners from foreign jails and release the Gaza hostages and otherwise live up to campaign promises.
