I was just listening to a Dave Chappell concert at the gym. He was explaining to a 24 year old in the audience how people of his generation (and older) spent time focusing on the stories of the day because they had time to absorb them. It was a more empathetic, contemplative time.

Nowadays, even before trump "flooded the zone," we don't have the bandwidth to deal with the onslaught of news. So stories like a cabinet member being investigated are hardly noticed. Pushed off the front page by the endless chaos created by the regime.
