Trump Will Bring Back Lower Prices and Prosperity-NOT!

Since others have received reparations for past wrongs done by this government, there is no lie but the ones you post white man. COVID created high prices once things opened up due to high demand and shortage of products. Then you had price gouging. Gas went down becuse nobody could leave their house. Trump won't bring anything back. He lost businesses the first time and that was before COVID. Harris has indeed worked real jobs. Harris knows more about economics than trump. Trump inherited daddys business and daddys money and blew it.
Harris is stupid. She knows nothing about economics. If she did, she never would say to tax unrealized capital gains. How stupid can one be. Except you of course.
Same old lies about the economy. Well people aren’t believing it because it isn’t true.

Trump didn't increase tariffs without inflation and his mishandling of COVID created the supply chain issues that helped cause inflation. You guys look for things to give Trump credit, but he was handed a record economy from Obama and he lived on that. If he was what you apparenty imagine, he would be getting endorsements from members of his administrtion.
The whole world had supply issues and the whole world had inflation but the tariffs did not create inflation and I hate the Chinese government and they are bullies, they look out for China, we need to look out for the United States of America, tariffs will limit the bullying, they have business practices that would shut them down in our country. I also am not praising Trump I agree with him, I am against his spending but in this area I agree.

He has a different perspective based on his life experience, I don’t believe he hates America, he has a different view on what a great America is, just as you do.
Nonsense. He hates America and wants to make white people today pay for white people 200+ years ago. Of course he has different experiences. But that doesn’t mean he has to lie about them.

That doesn’t mean he hates America, it means he believes and looks at it from a different perspective, I don’t agree with him but I do believe he should state his opinions so we can discuss and find common ground. What is wrong with people telling us their perspectives?

Perspectives are fine. Lies aren’t. He never looks for common ground.

your gal believed everything hinged on price gauging. Do you and her have any idea what the Market itself does to price gauging?

No, the supply chain interruptions were caused by international forces to a large extent exacerbated by Newsome shutting down the Ports of San Diego, Long Beach, Los Angeles, Oakland and San Francisco. If you bother to remember there were hundreds of ships sitting at anchor off California ports for months, or rerouting to East Coast ports. Trump had nothing to do with any of that. Also remember, the Chinese shut down their whole country so nothing on order from there was shipping. Even after the Covid restrictions were lifted it took China many months to catch up with the backlog.

If you ever had to deal with IM2 on the defunct Racism Forum, you would know he hates both the USA and White people. He is irrational on the subjects to this day.

The right wingers willl poo poo this as liberal bias coming from the Washington Post. But this is what you're voting for. Trump is an idiot that knows nothing about economics. You guys were shown he didn't create the last one, but you guys refuse to believe it. If he is elected, this is what you'll get.

Companies ready price hikes to offset Trump’s global tariff plans

Executives say Americans, not foreign countries, will pay the tariffs.

Across the United States, companies that rely on foreign suppliers are preparing to raise prices in response to the massive import tariffs that former president Donald Trump promises if he wins the election Tuesday.

Producers of a range of items, including clothing, footwear, baby products, auto parts and hardware, say they will pass along the cost of the tariffs to their American customers.

The planned price increases next year would come as consumers are beginning to enjoy relief from the highest inflation in four decades, and they directly contradict Trump’s repeated assurances that foreigners will pay the tariff tab.

“We’re set to raise prices,” Timothy Boyle, chief executive of Columbia Sportswear, said in an interview. “We’re buying stuff today for delivery next fall. So we’re just going to deal with it and we’ll just raise the prices. … It’s going to be very, very difficult to keep products affordable for Americans.”

You're an insurrectionist.

Again, the election is over. Your stupid posts aren't going to change the results. The voters have spoken.

Here's a serious question. Why is it that the usual suspects whine about the politicians when they impose tariffs that are then passed on to the consumer in the form of high prices, but whine about the CEO's when politicians impose taxes that are then passed on to the consumer in the form of high prices? Case in point:

TRUMP! talks about imposing tariffs. The CEOs of the affected companies talk about raising prices in response. Whining and criticism descend on...wait for it...TRUMP!, of course.
Biden and Harris talk about raising corporate taxes. The CEOs of the affected companies talk about raising prices in response. Whining and criticism descend on...wait for it...the CEOs, of course.

In both cases, the increase in the cost of doing business comes from the politicians. Food for thought.

Corporations were getting away with paying little to no taxes.

Again, they would pass the increased costs onto the customers and you would blame them, not the politicians. When politicians impose tariffs and costs are passed on, you blame the politicians. Are you trying to tell me you don't see the problem there?

BTW, I know the answer. It is which politicians that impose the higher costs of doing business, not the higher costs that you object to. TRUMP! = double plus ungood, QPJ = the good.

He did it before why would anyone think he can't do it again?...
Trump cut corporate taxes and deregulated across the board. The working class has not benefited from that. And although Trump used tariffs as an economic tool before, but not on the scale he is proposing now.

After WWII America had a robust and growing middle class because we had the largest manufacturing base in the world

Then the wizards of smart decided to export the jobs to china and mexico which was good for chinese but bad for Americans

That was the result of WWII. We were the big dog on the block because Europe and Asia saw their manufacturing bases destroyed while ours survived intact. The jobs were exported because the competition finally caught up and were able to undercut the hidebound American producers that were bound to lavish union contracts and couldn't compete.
