The War was effectiively started in the 90s by NATO trying to foment colour revolutions in a succession of countries bordering Russia, and of course the US , using NATO , set out to prepare Ukraine for war from that time .
This culminated in the US inspired and fully backed internal revolution in Kyiv and the resultant Minsk Agreements which NATO has never abided by .
Nor ever had intended to, as publicly admitted by Angela Merkel when she went into retirement .

From 2014 , Kyiv was at war with Donbass on a daily basis and before February 2022 had killed around 15000 Russian speaking Ukrainians . Plus untold raids and general devastation .

When Moscow knew Kyiv was going to invade Donbass on March1 , 2022 they simply pre-empted the 200 000 UAF invasion force . Because at that point Russia only had a trained on- the- ground force of 90 000 .Smart and pragmatic move Uncle P .
