House Speaker Mike Johnson believes former President Donald Trump understands that House Republicans do not have the votes to pass the SAVE Act even though he wishes it to pass in order to ensure that only legal citizens are able to vote.

Kamala Harris at one point pointed to Trump single handedly killing an immigration bill that has caused some 20 million illegals to cross the border unfettered, all at the end of the 4 years of the Biden administration doing nothing about immigration, however, that magical power he once had over the GOP Congress to kill the immigration act seems to be gone.

"It's my magic golden shoes", said Trump. When I had them on Congress did anything, I wanted them to do, but I lost them last month. And now just look at them, they do everything I tell them not to do. How am I going to be dictator and take over the country and end democracy if I can't find my golden shoes again?"

Heh. You're not going to stop the uniparty. Not even Trump has that power.

They were never going to shutdown the government. It always reflects bad on Republicans in the polls.

True. Votto could have included a link to the agreement reached. I did not know one had been reached, until this thread, prompting me to look it up.

Most of the GOP doesn't GAF about election cheating, or they wouldn't have waited until now to produce the cynical political stagecraft over the Save Act.

Johnson is just another in a long line of cuck prop players for the permanent political class, who keep making guys like Trump look like a legit option.
