I worked for the government for one year, but I couldn’t stand spending my days working through red tape and accomplishing nothing, so I left for private industry.he was talking about govt waste....which there is plenty of....
try working for them for 33 years...you want to see waste....I worked for the government for one year, but I couldn’t stand spending my days working through red tape and accomplishing nothing, so I left for private industry.
But the massive waste I saw there had my head spinning, and this was more than 40 years ago. Even as a young 20-something, I was appalled.
Example: We had a big mailing to get out - to 1600 recipients. Back in those days, we used “franked envelopes” with the postage amount printed on the envelope and pre-paid for. (Maybe they still do it that way.) Based on weight, we needed the $1.80 envelopes, but when I went down to the supply store, all they had were the most expensive ones - $14. We could order the $1.80s and they’d be in the next day or two.
I went back and told the boss, he angrily told me to just go back down there and get the $14s. So let’s do the math: we, the taxpayers, overpaid by $12.20 for each envelope - or $20,000.
This type of thing goes on every day, in every office in the federal government.
I didn’t WANT to see it. One year of waste was more than enough.try working for them for 33 years...you want to see waste....
Yet....Well, at least you didn't off yourself.

I would refer to the high number of promises never kept but I don't want to encourage a wave of belated integrity across the country.Well, at least you didn't off yourself.

How much of that $118 billion went to the border? typical shitty bill spending other people's money and doing nothing
They don't know what they don't know. They lack any kind of intellectual curiosity, so they don't demand detail. They think that anything they lose will magically be replaced by something else. Somehow. But at least you get to "own the libs".....hope it was worth ruining your lives over.
It was crafted largely by conservative Republicans.
Bit you’re insane so…
And here comes the attack on social security
It was more than one Republican but yes.It was crafted by 1 Republican at the request of McConnell- the request was to create a bill that Democrats would support.
You can see it here on this threadThere is no attack on SS.
Your echo chamber is never right.
Can you idiots ever follow a conversation?Yes. We stood up to Smack Ass *Joe and Kommie.
It was more than one Republican but yes.
That’s what bipartisan legislation is

The fix is to raise the cap or eliminate it.What are you imagining?
Old folks rummaging through garbage cans for food?
If we dont make changes today it may come to that 20 years from now
It seems like you are the one who is being selfish
Thats one attempted fixThe fix is to raise the cap or eliminate it.
Also not fucking up the economy . When GDP is up, more money goes into the Trust Fund
It takes a lot of mental energy to say, "one for you, two for me", over and over again.Blue states can't count for shit.
