As for Nazi's (It stood for the National SOCIALIST German Workers Party). Fascism, created under Mussolini, was also a SOCIALIST government, with a bit of difference from the Nazi's. In Italy, you could have private ownership of your businesses, however, they answered to the government.
Stalin in the Soviet Union sent both Adolf Hitler and Benito Mussolini congratulatory letters, welcoming them to SOCIALISM.
Hitler's government as opposed to Stalin's government, was run by a megalomaniac racist and believed that Germany's Aryan race was superior to all others, including Russians and his ultimate goal was conquering the world.
As to why the Nazi's were listed as far-right, a socialist professor saw the horrible things that Hitler's government did and was himself, horrified and did not want it tied to socialism, so he added that Hitler's government was far-right to distance it from other socialist governments.
As Hitler's government was responsible for killing approximately 8 million people (excluding those in war), that pales in comparison to the hideous figure for the Soviet Union and China. Combined we're looking at about 50 million, with some figures being much higher. That's what you get with Socialism. Despite its friendly sounding title, it doesn't allow political opposition and uses any evil tool to achieve its goals.
