Texas standoff: How a feud over a space shuttle could derail a government funding deal
Republicans required a move to Houston in their tax law, but a campaign to block the plan is picking up steam.
It makes absolutely no sense to spend $300-600 million to move a space shuttle from Washington to Texas. Trump's Smithsonian estimates $150 million to move it, but we all know that governmental estimates usually double in actual practice. Look at the cost of Trump's gold playroom. But, the initial allocation of shuttles took place in the President Obama administration, and that is one reason Republicans hackles are up over this.
At any rate, this will probably be an issue when Republicans attempt to shut down the government again on January 30!
Bigly!!!
