In the past if 1 or 10 came seeking asylum okay, but 500? **** that. So I get it. Democrats better promise to keep the border secure. And I would go one further. I'd say I'm going to go after illegal employers because they are the santuaries. Not the cities. Lots of sanctuary corporations in red states and red cities. Companies knowingly hiring dozens of illegals. We know who and where they are but we ignore them. ESPECIALLY hotels, farms and restaurants. Even ICE don't bother them.

If we imposed tariffs strategically to get certain jobs to come back home, I'd be fine with that. Pharma, Auto manufacturing, defense, chips. Anything that we want to manufacture at home.

But earlier today this guy was complaining about textile and clothing manufacturing that left the USA in the 90's. He didn't believe that the Bush 2000's were when most of our high paying manufacturing jobs went overseas. It did not happen on Clinton's watch in the 90's. Clinton put environmental and worker protections in NAFTA before he signed it. So NAFTA wasn't as bad then as it was after Bush 2000's sent MILLIONS of high paying union jobs overseas. And I remember all the USMB Republicans/MAGA assholes back then provided Bush with cover by attacking those lazy slacker overpaid blue collar workers. Hillary called them deplorables.

Let's be honest. Union workers, aka factory rats are really stupid. Half of them voted for Trump. They don't realize Trump is not pro union. If Trump was serious about helping these people, he would have given lumber shippers a tax break not tariffed them. Every company who imports home building products should have got a break. Affordable housing is what those people need. They ain't getting it now. Now they will pay an extra $2400 a year under Trump.

If they vote for him again, they sort of get what they deserve.

I told Republicans last year that of all the countries in the world, the USA was doing the best. Even Mississippi, one of our worst states was doing better than Germany. If the poor people want to do better in America either unionize or vote Democrats who will raise taxes on the rich and not them. Or who will lower taxes for them not the rich.

The economy was fine last year and the economy right now is fine too. All Trump did was make life easier for rich people and life harder for poor and middle class folks. Reagan and the Bush's did the same thing. This is just a different angle. Trump is brilliant. He's going to bring all those high paying blue collar jobs back through his tariffs. Meanwhile his tariffs are bringing in a lot of money for the government and that's a good thing because Trump is spending a lot too.

Imagine if Trump did these tariffs and he put all that money towards the debt and social security and medicare. I wouldn't have a negative thing to say about it.
