Trump's core issue that led him to victory in the Primaries was Trade, and the claim that we had bad trade deals and needed better ones.

This issue has been viciously attacked from both sides of the political divide.

Common themes involve claims that any trade barriers are bad, that there is not trade barriers against US, that US workers are stupid, lazy and/or unskilled, ect. ect.

This is from a recent WTO ruling.

WTO says EU failed to comply with Airbus subsidy ruling

"U.S. officials said Airbus had failed to undo subsidies worth $22 billion, including $4 billion for the A350, on which Airbus's prospects in the wide-body jet market largely depend."

I have been constantly told that Germany has a trade surplus because their workers are better than ours, or because they have Nationalized Health Care.

Trump Right on Trade Predators

"When Europe’s taxpayers objected to the $26 billion in subsidies Airbus had gotten by 1990, German aerospace coordinator Erich Riedl was dismissive, “We don’t care about criticism from small-minded pencil-pushers.” "

"Richard Evans of British Aerospace explained: “Airbus is going to attack the Americans, including Boeing, until they bleed and scream.” And another executive said, “If Airbus has to give away planes, we will do it.”

So much for the idea that our losing is based on Fair Competition, and our own failures.

"
Subsidies to the A320 caused lost sales of 271 Boeing 737s, writes journalist Alan Boyle. Subsidies for planes in the twin-aisle market cost the sale of 50 Boeing 767s, 777s and 787s. And subsidies to the A380 cost Boeing the sale of 54 747s. These represent crippling losses for Boeing, a crown jewel of U.S. manufacturing and a critical component of our national defense.

Earlier, writes Boyle, the WTO ruled that, “without the subsidies, Airbus would not have existed … and there would be no Airbus aircraft on the market.”

In “The Great Betrayal” in 1998, I noted that in its first 25 years the socialist cartel called Airbus Industrie “sold 770 planes to 102 airlines but did not make a penny of profit.”

These are significant numbers in their own rights, but more important is that they reveal a policy of unfair trade from our closest ALLIES, one that has been going on for decades.

If our Friends are fucking US like this, does anyone seriously think our rivals or enemies, like say the fucking Red Chinese are giving US a break?

And these tens of billions lost, are not just numbers in the ledgers of corporations.

THEy are lost jobs of middle class, working class Americans.

This economic hardship is real and immense.

Life Expectancy for White Americans Declines

"There have been signs for years that health and socioeconomic problems might be chipping away at improvements in longevity for parts of the U.S. population. In 2008, the IHME reported that life expectancy had stagnated or declined for about 4% of men and 19% of women in the U.S. in the 1980s and 1990s. The report cited diseases related to smoking, high blood pressure and obesity as contributors and noted wide disparities in life expectancy between poor and wealthy U.S. counties."

Bolding added.

The Dems, with the aid of their ideological minions in the media have been working very hard to avoid discussion of the issues.

And it is working.

They are winning.

And they don't care that Americans are literally being killed by policies they are actively fighting to keep.

Donald Trump makes some sense on the trade front, but he has given no details on what a "good" trade deal should look like. Like everything else, he's thrown out some general statements and dropped the subject. I'm a Democrat, and many of us would like to see better trade deals as well, too bad The Donald hasn't come up with one!

Everyone else thinks that the current Trade Policies are fine, and that the reason we can't compete is because our workers are stupid and/or lazy and/or unskilled.

They will actively work to keep things as they are, ie US getting screwed, to the point that we, the Middle Class and lower, are literally being killed by the hardship.

Trump will at least try.

And he doesn't think this is your fault because you are stupid and lazy, but the result of unfair practices by our rivals and enemies.

Here is his stated position from his web site. Not a complete map, but certainly a good starting point.

Trade

"DONALD J. TRUMP’S VISION
  • Negotiate fair trade deals that create American jobs, increase American wages, and reduce America's trade deficit.
Donald J. Trump's 7 Point Plan To Rebuild the American Economy by Fighting for Free Trade

1. Withdraw from the Trans-Pacific Partnership, which has not yet been ratified.

2. Appoint tough and smart trade negotiators to fight on behalf of American workers.

3. Direct the Secretary of Commerce to identify every violation of trade agreements a foreign country is currently using to harm our workers, and also direct all appropriate agencies to use every tool under American and international law to end these abuses.

4. Tell NAFTA partners that we intend to immediately renegotiate the terms of that agreement to get a better deal for our workers. If they don’t agree to a renegotiation, we will submit notice that the U.S. intends to withdraw from the deal. Eliminate Mexico’s one-side backdoor tariff through the VAT and end sweatshops in Mexico that undercut U.S. workers.

5. Instruct the Treasury Secretary to label China a currency manipulator.

6. Instruct the U.S. Trade Representative to bring trade cases against China, both in this country and at the WTO. China's unfair subsidy behavior is prohibited by the terms of its entrance to the WTO, and I intend to enforce those rules.

7. Use every lawful presidential power to remedy trade disputes if China does not stop its illegal activities, including its theft of American trade secrets - including the application of tariffs consistent with Section 201 and 301 of the Trade Act of 1974 and Section 232 of the Trade Expansion Act of 1962.

So, where are all the right wing Free Traders who claimed that we were losing fair and square in Trade and that there were no trade barriers?

So, where all the blame the American workers lefties who insisted that we were not competitive because Americans are stupid and lazy?

THis World Trade Organization ruling and the quotes from various Europeans involved in the illegal subsidies, completely disprove yours claims unless you can challenge them somehow.

And completely validates Trump's position on Trade.

I hope he turns this into a campaign add and slams Hillary on this issue.

Incredible.

This report is powerful evidence that validates Trump on his number one policy and debunks the vast majority of attacks on his position.

And no one cares.

The Europeans are cheating. That is why they have such large trade surpluses with US.

That is why Germany has so many manufacturing jobs.

It is not that US workers can't cut it. It is that the playing field is not level.

ONe side is cheating and the other is led by people who don't care.

Who cares if American workers lose their jobs due to European cheating, and suffer generations of economic hardship to the point that their lifespans literally shorten?

Not the Anti-Trump people on this site.
