Trump posts video of Obamas as apes

That is just dumb, it really is. There have been four impeachments in American History. Johnson, Clinton, and Trump, TWICE. Nixon was also subject to impeachment proceedings but resigned before the House vote. Reagan, Bush, Jefferson, Biden, Obama, Buchanan, the list goes on of those that in which impeachment votes either failed or did not come to a vote.

The whole lynching claim falls flat on it's face when you confront it with this reality. In almost 250 ******* years, never, ever, had a senator of the presidents own party, voted to convict. It happened BOTH times under Trump.

No it's not dumb!
We now live in a time of deep division where even lawmakers are openly showing their hate for colleagues on the other side of the aisle.

You point out the four impeachments, and what do three of those have in common? This country had only one impeachment in 227 years. We've now had three starting in 1998.

This country is now so divided, it rivals the Civil war era, and you can count on more in the future. If by some miracle, Vance wins the 2028 election, I guarantee you Dimocrats will try to impeach him if they control the House at that time. They'll leave him alone for the first year, and then will try to throw him out, and they'll come up with a reason for it no matter what he does.

Is it in poor taste for the POTUS to post?

Yes, it was beneath trump because the Obamas are beneath trump

But it was not racism

Obama was the most racist president since Woodrow Wilson

And the most leftwing anti American president EVER

No insult toward him is too low

But the insult is directed at him not black people in general

Back in the day libs compared George Bush to an ape
also (see post 661 above) and no lib called that racist
You are doing some hell of some spinning there hoss. You could post pictures of me as an ape, or a monkey, all day long and no one would consider it racist. But hell, I am white.

And it has taken me a while to come around on this issue, much like the whole Confederate flag drama. Because, I am sorry, but no one has the right NOT to be insulted. And quite honestly, how something I do makes you "feel" ain't none of my damn concern.

But the president has a responsibility here. And if this was a staffer, well I hope his ass is looking for a job. It was racist, and purposely so. Yesterday I spent some time, watching news reels, old documentaries. The Greensboro Massacre, November 3, 1979. And the Hard Hat Riots in New York City, May 8, 1970.

Who cares? Guarantee you plenty of people will care, and the ones that supported Trump, but are not hard-core conservatives, will not want to be associated with something like this.

As for the fraud, yeah it would be nice to focus on that and plenty of other issues, so why does our side do incredibly stupid things like this, that take the focus off of what we want it to be on?
Do you think the MSM is going to do us a break, and try to downplay this? Obviously not a chance and in fact we all know, except for the stupid morons that created and posted this, they'll be doing just the opposite.

The stupid moron who posted this was Donald Trump.

and that is exactly what he wanted. He has done it before.

He’s trying to flip the script and prop up his sagging poll numbers.

Race baiting accomplished both in the past. Which is why he posted it.

So libs can do it to whites but whites cant do it to blacks?

Dodge Ball where one team has their hands tied behind their back?

Again, the problem is that comparing blacks to apes is the oldest trope in the world, so it's sheer history makes it a much bigger deal than when the script is flipped. If there was the same long history orchestrated by millions of blacks towards whites, then the comparison could be made accurately.

I suspect that the "religion" so many of them pretend to follow has a role in this, as well. They're conditioned to blindly follow an iconic authority figure without question. Since the first day they go to church. That certainly makes sense in a psychological and sociological context.

What I can't grasp is how they would do this for someone who is essentially the opposite of the deity that they claim to follow.
What a hoot. Mac and his buddies are members of the Church of Perpetual Gaslighting. They blindly follow the Democrat Dogma that Trump is the Devil and his supporters are an evil cult. Anyone with common sense rejects such nonsense.

for the record, I do think that it is a long time trope that shouldn't have been used...

And, I think that anyone with an IQ over 50 would know that depicting a black individual as an ape would result in cries of racism...

However, like I said, in the grand scheme of things, it was a stupid faux pa that is insignificant, but does leave him open for criticism...
I agree, but who cares?

The usual black lib suspects will cry racism

But others will see through the crocodile tears

Its way past time we confront the double standard in race politics

For instance the black mayor of chicago has openly admitted that he hires only black people

Thats real racism

Agreed, so why make it easier for them?

You are a little late to lecture me since I already posted that trump shoulda not done it

Poor taste, presidential decorum and all that

But racism is a serous charge that does not apply here

He can apologize, and try to explain it, and that might help. But this does not help us, and will only peel more voters away from our side. Think about it, who publicly would want to be connected with this?

Also, who is the creator of the video itself? Didn't it occur to them that choosing 'apes' for the Obama's when they could have used ANY OTHER animal in the jungle, was probably not a good idea? How ******* stupid can you get?!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Then you have to ask, why was this video cued up right next to the voter fraud video? Why was it anywhere near the video they wanted to display?

This really pisses me off that we continually make these kind of stupid blunders like this! This is the kind of thing that will only reinforce the idea that Trump and Republicans are all hardcore racists and it will only dim our chances further!
Calm down

History is happening now

Blacks are not entitled to special privileges or protections that other races do not have

Yes, we live in a time of deep division. But no, it has been much worse. Even as recently as the Vietnam era. But Blair Mountain, multiple race riots from Wilmington to Oklahoma, this nation has been divided many times before. Even prior to the Civil War, even right after the founding, we had our fractures. Many of them violent. The Anti-Rent War in Upstate New York.

What we have not seen before is such a willingness, of those in power, specifically, Trump and his supporters, to seize upon that division, to fan it, to exploit it, in pursuit of their own agenda. They will parse this country like no one's business. I mean think about it. Presidential campaign slogans. Obama, "yes we can". What was Trump's, "we got fucked"?

Democrats get rid of candidates for moral grounds
Gary Hart, Andrew Cuomo, Al Franken

Republicans celebrate them
I remember a certain Virginian Governor they didn't say boo too. Or the current Governor of Virginia and what, the attorney General? How about the candidate for Senate in Maine? Or the racist members of the gang in Congress? There are numerous current Democrats that are morally wrong and the democrats circle the wagons around them.

I don't think it is a huge problem...The post has been removed, and the WH has provided that it was a re tweet, and not something the President himself came up with...

So, IMHO, Trump should post a simple apology for anyone that felt insulted by the imagery, and move on.
Trump has done worse
He will do worse next week
And the week after

15th post
You are sick man, you think a father forcing their kid to take inappropriate showers with them isn’t abuse

Talk about having a law bar
You have no idea of what age she was
Ashli has said they were not inappropriate
