Trump has nominated Hillsborough County Sheriff Chad Chronister to the head of the DEA. During COVID, Chronister attempted to force his deputies to get the COVID vaccine that Trump's supporters call the clot shot and claims is killing millions.

“I put out a policy a while ago that if you are unvaccinated and you have to quarantine or you get ill you have to use your own accrued time. If you are vaccinated and you get sick the sheriff’s office will cover your time off,” said Chronister.

I'm not sure why we need the DEA. States are already largely ignoring federal drug laws and that isn't going to change so why the bloated costs?
