I said it before and i can say it again. Close the government. Then when all the non essential personnel are sent home, give them a severance pay with a thank you, and dont bring them back. If they are non essential, they dont need to be collecting big bucks for no work.

Also on Wednesday, Philadelphia District Attorney Larry Krasner revealed in a new court filing that his lawsuit against Musk and the America PAC had “triggered an avalanche of [social media] posts from Musk’s followers,” many of whom “made antisemitic attacks on Krasner.”

Krasner sued Musk and that PAC on Monday, accusing them of operating an illegal lottery and of trying to influence voters in the presidential election between Vice President Kamala Harris and former President Donald Trump.

Trump can start with about 110,000 - 120,000 IRS agents.

Then he can work on the FBI, DEA, ATF, and a couple other agencies (That I consider redundant) by combining them all into a new agency and getting rid of the excess... Like the ones involved in the Fast & Furious who got new jobs instead of being fired.

Funny thing about this....while in the Marines serving in Okinawa every time a typhoon would come, which was a few times a year, they would shut down the base and if you were deemed non-essential you were restricted to quarters. This was about 95% of the military personnel on the base.

Using your "logic", those 95% would never be needed and should all be canned...even though who was deemed non-essential changed every storm.

The people that process VA claims are deemed non-essential during a shutdown because nobody will die if their claim is not done that day. You would fire them all and VA claims would never get done.
