Here is my guess, Starmer now wants to get it signed as fast as possible. He is probably going to raise the issue of Canadas trade deal too, for which Trump will just deflect as his decision has been made for August 1st.

Maybe he raises the issue of Gaza. Who knows?

The truth is, the deal with Japan started all of these dominoes really even though the U.K "in principle" agreed first, it was the Japanese deal that had the Europeans worried they would fall behind. The process was expedited after Japans PM took a shellacking in their election and needs to hold onto his position as PM.

So, ultimately, Trump can thank the young Japanese in Japan for supporting their own MAGA candidate which hurt the current PMs position, forcing a quick deal rather than a slow, lengthy process he would have taken if he had political currency back home.

President Donald Trump is meeting with U.K. Prime Minister Keir Starmer on Monday, just a day after Trump secured a trade deal with the European Union.

Trump greeted Starmer on the front steps of his golf resort in Turnberry, Scotland on Monday. The two spoke briefly to reporters, commenting on both immigration issues in the U.K. and the ongoing hunger crisis in Gaza.

"I'm looking for getting people fed right now," Trump said. "To me, that's your number one position because you have a lot of starving people. You have people that you know, the United States recently, just a couple of weeks ago, we gave $60 million. It's a lot of money. No other nation gave money."

Trump should tell Canada to **** OFF until they release their Freedom Convoy POLITICAL PRISONERS.

The whole world is holding its breath: will China and India exchange the opportunity to purchase hydrocarbons from Russia to satisfy their own needs for a good relationship with the States, who have just milked the friendly European Union dry? :stir:

Party with the Big Boys, Not with Midgets Like Ukraine and Taiwan

Why not both, especially since only American drilling technology can help Russia double world production? China and India need a lot more oil to meet their economic goals.
