Oh, looky here: Some military general named MacArthur pissed of a Dem president.

There is a good reason why rational countries place the Armed Forces under the overall command of one or more civilians (President, Secretary of Defense).

To illustrate, I was responsible for processing Officer Efficiency Reports for about six months while I was in Vietnam. The evaluation standards were preposterous. Officers were rated on about 20 different characteristics, like leadership, tact, technical knowledge, and so forth. The scale went from below average to outstanding.

The instructions said that "outstanding" was to be used sparingly, and indicated "This is the best officer I know with respect to this trait."

EVERY OFFICER got "Outstanding" on every single evaluation trait! I was told when I asked about it, just one, "Excellent" on an OER would ruin the officer's career. For those who wanted to stay in the service for years, one "Excellent" would absolutely doom that possibility.

Can you even imagine such a meaningless system of performance evaluation? It was insane. Military officers need to be kept under adult supervision.

Generals work for the civilian government. Barry Hussein forced generals into retirement for failing to go along with his policies and the mainstream media called it "politics as usual" or ignored it. When a republican comes on board they call it a "purge". No surprise here

When I enlisted, I swore a loyalty oath, and swore to follow the orders of the President (Jimmy Carter at the time).

I have to admit that I thought Carter was a good, decent man, but hopelessly lost in his position. But orders are orders.

I thought Reagan was good, but I remember people getting out in droves under Clinton because of his policies.

Bottom line, the President is the Commander-in-Chief, and you follow orders (or choose to exit if you choose if your enlistment is up).

If you can't live up to your oath, you can't live up to your obligations, and can actually be prosecuted under the UCMJ.

Rebellion is NOT PERMITTED!!!

ANY OFFICERS OR ENLISTED MEMBERS SHOULD BE HELD TO THIS STANDARD!!!

So if an officer won't follow orders and support his Commander-in-Chief, the President has the absolute right to relieve him of command if necessary.

Still no worthwhile arguments from libs against this move.

This is a brilliant idea. It's hard to believe some leader somewhere else didn't come up with this idea. Trump leads the way again.

---He was the worst leader I've ever had---

Col Chung sounds like Donald Trump. Trump isn't going to purge officers that are bullies like him.

Too many warmongering Generals in Washington DC

You have to understand, the corrupt Dem party corrupts everything they touch including the military.

Dems are why we lost in Vietnam. They should never be given control of the military.
