Generals work for the civilian government. Barry Hussein forced generals into retirement for failing to go along with his policies and the mainstream media called it "politics as usual" or ignored it. When a republican comes on board they call it a "purge". No surprise here
When I enlisted, I swore a loyalty oath, and swore to follow the orders of the President (Jimmy Carter at the time).
I have to admit that I thought Carter was a good, decent man, but hopelessly lost in his position. But orders are orders.
I thought Reagan was good, but I remember people getting out in droves under Clinton because of his policies.
Bottom line, the President is the Commander-in-Chief, and you follow orders (or choose to exit if you choose if your enlistment is up).
If you can't live up to your oath, you can't live up to your obligations, and can actually be prosecuted under the UCMJ.
Rebellion is NOT PERMITTED!!!
ANY OFFICERS OR ENLISTED MEMBERS SHOULD BE HELD TO THIS STANDARD!!!
So if an officer won't follow orders and support his Commander-in-Chief, the President has the absolute right to relieve him of command if necessary.
