I invite our Leftist correspondents to pause the pearl-clutching for a moment and ponder the following hypothetical:
Donald Trump is running for re-election against the latest Leftist savior. Trump wins the election by a microscopic margin, then it comes out that the Justice Department, under AG Bill Barr, has suppressed the fact that Trump was under threat of indictment for massive financial fraud, unrelated to his performance of the Office of the Presidency. (i.e., Not a "high crime and/or misdemeanor").
OK. Trump won the election, and the indictment will not be issued as long as he remains President.
Are you willing to just move forward? Or does this warrant a suspension of applicable laws regarding elections?
Be honest.
What we actually have is approximately the mirror image of the above hypothetical.
