It's one thing to offer Greenland cash and benefit for U.S citizenship, quite another to take any nation by force.

If he tries to take Canadian land by force he will lose most of his supporters and probably face an impeachment he cannot win, he knows this.

He is coming in too hot against Canada with the violent rhetoric. He just needs to stick to the economics and make Canada become more free, allow access so that Canadian have some competition here not throw out odd threats. We are going to have a conservative leader in power within a year or so. Trump can then get XL Pipeline built and have a closer relationship.
