Actually, his action is completely within his authority as laid out in the Constitution and the Immigration and Nationality Act. No Congressional authority is needed and the Supreme Court will absolutely back him up on this.

However, depending upon which party wins the next presidential election, the ban could be ended. With some luck, whoever wins the next presidential election, that winner will continue the ban.
If the ban continues, think about this:
Less additional demand on resources.
Less destruction of old growth forest and animal habitat.

Federal Judges, outside the Supreme court have no power compared to the president.
The Supreme Court? Who judges them and reins them in.
Congress, the true authority? Or an equal branch?
