Trump Admin just announced its scrapping the 3rd Qtr GDP report. This leads to speculation the 3rd Qtr was shitty and they don't want it released. I am sure its completely on the up and up. Its not like he's going away saying political opponents should be imprisoned or anything.

Trump canceling GDP report comes under scrutiny

The U.S. Bureau of Economic Analysis said on Monday that it has canceled the release of its advance estimate of third-quarter GDP.

The department said the release was being canceled due to disruption caused by the federal government shutdown, but the announcement has sparked criticism and speculation that the report is being held because of disappointing data.

Why It Matters
The GDP report becomes the latest government data to be delayed because of the lingering impacts of the federal government shutdown, following other missed releases such as the October jobs report.

The data delays are fueling speculation about the true state of the economy, at a time when President Donald Trump continues to highlight strong growth while concerns over affordability and unemployment persist.

What To Know

The advance estimate for third-quarter GDP, which was originally scheduled for October 30, has no new release date.

The BEA also rescheduled the release of its September inflation data, and the Bureau of Labor Statistics will not release October jobs and Consumer Price Index data because of issues with compiling data.

Critics have speculated that the GDP report is being withheld to conceal weak economic performance.

Doubtful its simply incomplete and will come out next month anyway. The shutdown will have also had an effect making it even more inaccurate.

No. They already cancelled the October unemployment numbers. Not delayed...cancelled.

In October, the U.S. private sector added 42,000 jobs, according to ADP, marking a rebound from previous months but indicating modest hiring growth. The job gains were led by trade, transportation, and utilities, as well as education and health services, while leisure and hospitality saw losses. Separately, the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) reported an increase of 12,000 total nonfarm jobs for the month, which was a significantly smaller gain and below expectations, partly due to the impact of the Boeing strike.

Key Points
  • Private companies lost an average of 13,500 jobs a week over the past four weeks, ADP said as part of a running update it has been providing.
  • With the government shutdown still impacting data releases, alternative information like ADP’s has been filling in the blanks on the economic picture.

Wow!

That's a massive improvement!
It is getting better but we are far from out of the woods yet.

Those 2% bonds the gubbermint was selling during Biden's Admin have just about bankrupted us.
Then the high inflation following the sale was what did it to us. The banks got hung with those bonds. This is Directly the Federal Reserve's fault in entirety.

As it should. Everything with trump arouses suspicion. He is a negative personality. He just can't help himself enough.
