What is somewhat troubling was Trump wanted Yellen on the Board of Govenors but instead put her in as Treasury Secretary.

She was a complete disaster in every sense. Let's hope for something better this time.

Coal plants aerosolize mercury putting it in every waterway and slowly poisoning everyone unless new scrubber tech is utilized. Which is expensive and requires a huge retrofit/remodel to accommodate the scrubbers.

I'm not such a huge fan of nuclear energy. Mostly because of the used fuel rods not having a use or place to go. They make for another brown site mess.
Reprocessing the rods is multiple times more expensive than buying new ones AND the reactors themselves are targets for enemies to create devastating problems. Also every time we build a reactor we try to reinvent the wheel with a new prototype reactor.

Devil is always in the details.

I don't think Trump had any idea of how bad she really was when he nominated her for the board of govenors but settled for treasury Secretary.....

Which the Treasury is also responsible for the Secret Service protection detail he has to live under.

She did not get approved for the Board of Govenors for the Federal Reserve...mostly because she was nominated by Trump. (It really was a blessing in disguise).

So he made her a recess appointment as Treasury Secretary.

Biden kept her in her role when he got elected.
