A 31-year-old Mississauga man has been arrested following a joint child exploitation investigation by Toronto police and the FBI’s Portland Child Exploitation Task Force.
Police arrested the man on June 11 after members of the Toronto Police Service internet Child Exploitation Section searched an address in the area of Burnhamthorpe Road East and Hurontario Street in Mississauga, police said in a news release on Tuesday.
Investigators allege he made child sexual abuse material and arranged to commit a sexual offence against a person under the age of 16. During their search, police said they seized a number of electronic devices.
The accused allegedly used multiple online identities, including “Blinkz8181,” “Blinkz,” “Blinkz12344” and “Pastor Blinkz,” and he is facing charges for making child pornography and making arrangements, via telecommunication, to commit a sexual offence against a person under 16 or believed to be under 16.
