This may surprise you

Both are huge low pressure zones

A tornado may have strong winds but it’s a huge LPZ. This is why your house gets blown up from the inside to the outside
And opening your windows won’t do a damn thing lol

Hurricanes are huge LPZ : this causes nearby thunderstorms to gravitate to the area and more Kinect energy feeds into the storm
The storms rotates counter clock wise if you’re above the equator due to the earths rotation ,with clouds moving the fastest near the equator
Hurricanes are most dangerous with full moons as the tides get even higher
 
Remember that a full moon is also affected by the suns tidal forces
