One example is the vets. Everybody seems to believe they should be better cared for, yet legislation designed to help them is few and far between, and then it has to actually pass.

Probably because there are no honest bills without riders and horse shit tacked on. Oh, and supporting vets looks good on paper, but putting money where your mouth is isn't so easy it seems.

Who is responsible for deciding what issues are brought up for discussion?
 
Who says they are NOT Being cared for ?

"Vets" plays well with voters on both sides . One needs to ask if this is even a real issue , or just a political point getter .
