I just found out the hard way that toggling the BB code while composing a reply can make your post disappear.

I just composed a reply, hit the BB toggle to check something, toggled back to normal, and my post just disappeared.

There is no sign that I was ever even writing anything for the thread. All gone. Oh well, I'm not doing it over.

Obviously, this new Xenforo version has unresolved bugs.

I just composed this reply, toggled BB code, and it hasn't disappeared.

It's not a bug, it's an "undocumented feature.":laughing0301:

To be sure, I toggle the BB code all the time and this usually doesn't happen. Sometimes I tap on a blank part of the page and change threads because they have hidden hypercode buried everywhere, but find my way back. I looked several different times and ways for the post I had written in the thread I wrote it--- I have text left up after moving out of USMB still be there when I came back, no, this was gone, a true bug, a glitch that shouldn't happen and normally doesn't happen, but CAN happen. One of several bugs I've found.

Try immediately hitting refresh.

There is a built in draft saving feature and your post minus the last few words may be there.

What is toggling the BB code?
You can write BB code direct into your post/replies if you wish, if you know the code. On the reply screen you will see 3 dots to the right beside the sheet of paper with magnifying glass. Tap the 3 dots and you you see [ ]. Tap those to enter BB mode.

So under normal mode replying to you looks like -

1000006148.webp

And BB mode is the forum code of the above -

So for example, I replied to your post and entered BB mode. I changed braalian to Test. The code still references the post and member number. So you still see the reply in your alerts but to the username Test.
