The Arctic is becoming more important strategically. Working with Finland could help the U.S. expand faster. Commie 
han-China will eventually go with force against Moscow empire in Outer Manchuria ( 
"Far East") . Aim would be primarily lake Baikal, as drinkable water sources are one of biggest things that Han-China seeks. ALWAYS Remember , commie Han-China’s claims to Moscow’s Far East (Outer Manchuria and much more ) are fact-based and indisputable. So The USA will have to annex Chukotka, Japan will have to take all the Kurils and Sakhalin back, Canada will have to get Kamchatka.
To counter Moscow and China (Han)empires in the high north, USA must expand its icebreaker fleet. To do so quickly, it will need Finland’s help
