This one has almost no finish but has a solid stock, strong bore, and is all matching.
I love the sling set-up....Looks like a Type 56 (SKS) sling (very faded/stained now) that had it's end hardware cut away and the front was resewn so the dog collar could pass through.
I read years ago that some of the sling set-ups on the Omega (importer) Type-53s were odd, some just being made of woven telephone wire and all other manner of things.
These were mostly used by PRC militias.....Gathered back up sometime in the 60s and stored in caves.
I gave $265 for this one because complete and matching examples with good bores are hard to find but I remember when you could get a 3-fer from Omega for $125.00. You could usually cobble together two more or less complete carbines.
