It is scwry to be honest. Worse, that I am sent to useless optomotrists as if somehow this might just be poor vision(which improves from time to time but is often sensitive to light). Dont copy.our model of healthcare, the state will determine your care or.if you are worthy of it. 4:30 am Is late for me to wake up, it is usually 3 am or so :(

Hope you feel better. Did you get the COVID vaccine?

I will pray for you.
No, I am unvaxxed. Thanks for the prayers. Lately its been more than just my eye and face, it is these random tingling and cold feelings in my legs, each leg, thsn my thigh, my arm etc. Just random,.often waking me up. Quite different from a localized tingling due to sleeping on ones arm etc.

First I was thinking it was maybe from a certain type of med(s) you were taking that was causing the tingling. Then you mentioned it was just the position you were sleeping in. I would say use rubbing alcohol. That's a safe solution.

Father God in heaven this individual is asking for prayer for their health condition. Father look past their faults and see their needs and heal them, for it is by Jesus stripes that we are healed. Lord God they believe in your healing power. Therefore I pray for their healing and all the pain they are in to be alleviated in Jesus mighty name, Amen.

Optomitrist is one level of eye doctor, there are also ophthalmologists, which are a step up. Keep trying.

I found myself with a bothersome eye issue a week or so ago (I'm 75). I had a very distinct spot of non vision at the center of my field of view in my left eye. It was Thursday afternoon. I called my eye doctor and he had me in his chair within a couple hours (came in special to take a look). He referred me to a vascular eye specialist because the issue has to do with a microscopic blood clot in the eye. He told me to let him know if I couldn't get a quick appointment; don't want to sit on this for long. I was offered an appointment on Monday (first business day after my call), but was tied up myself so went into his clinic on Wednesday. He did his tests, confirmed the diagnosis, and gave me two shots in my eye(!), which were painless, and set up an appointment in a month to confirm that they resolved the issue. None of this will cost me anything out of pocket.

Tell me again why we need socialized medicine. I forget.

Socialized medicine ensures that the state controls your health. Period.

If I sell my home I am going to pursue answers for my health issue in the U.S. That has to be my top priority unfortunately.

What ailments do you suffer from

What ailments do you suffer from

In terms of symptoms? Many.

Constant waking up in the middle of the night when I suddenly get a pain behind my eye and/or tingling in different parts of my body. It's strange because it will move around within a few seconds, tingling in left arm, then right leg, left side of face, my thighs. The tingling also sometimes follows with a cold feeling for about a second or two, as if injected with ice, then it suddenly disappears.

The numbness is most scary and it adds to the condition at times.

I get the same thing with my knees. If I keep off sulphates/sulphites, the pain eases. I take cod liver oil and turmeric tablets. That's why I can be checking forums and YouTube through the night. Probably need replacement knees within 10 years.

Is there no way for you to get an MRI up there?

I have and use turmeric from time to time.

Yes, I had one.

The issue is getting the results for the MRI that was actually mine. Im not sure if you followed my story but even the hospital upper ups admitted the error.

What ailments he doesn't suffer from! :dunno: :(

Indeed. Ask yourself why that is acceptable.

You mock me but claim loudly you do NOT want to become more like Canada. Why not? Don't like the government determining if you can live freely or not? Receive proper healthcare or not at their whim? Have a career free from interference only if they bestow that right to self determination?

The same people most loudly criticizing me for simple, G-d ordained rights are the ones most loudly against these same policies in their own country.

Well, the illness has only been over the last two years. It required hospitalization twice and then seemed to subside. Only over the last 9-12 months or so I guess has it returned with a vengence but not acute enough to require a hospital

Of course, he did not. S C, go to an internist, then to the EET clinic recommended. I wish you the best.

Yes, I've had that done a couple of years ago. I clattered my knees in an accident in 2008, I broke the left patella. As the years went by, arthritis started on the insides of my knees, basically as I stand the weight is transmitted down the insides. So I have two options. Do nothing until I need new knees when I'm late 60's / early 70's. Second option is an osteotomy on each leg. They cut the lower bone nearly all the way through, straighten the leg up, plate and bolt it back together. About 6 to 9 months full recovery for each leg. The advantage of that is, I will be able to mountain bike again, less/no pain, and slightly longer life out of my knees.

I know a guy who had one heck of a bad experience getting his first leg done due to an infection, set him back months. I'm self employed, kinda semi retired, and on balance, I decided not to get an osteotomy done. They don't want to replace knees when you're in your 50's because of their lifespan, as in, they don't want to replace a replacement knee in your 70's/80's when those have worn out.

So the lesson is, if you get into competitive mountain bike racing through forests, buy protective gear BEFORE the crash and not after!!
