Hows many Americans do you Think killed Nazis in WW2?
How many can you name that knew you? I can name a few.

Well, I'd like to say my Dad, but he was a medic in WWII, who saw action at Normandy and the Bulge...

But that wasn't the point at all, was it?

My point is that most Germans weren't Nazis, but far to many of them went along with Hitler to the destructive end.

Too many otherwise sensible people are going along with Trump, even though they know he's an utter buffoon.

Not really.

She got fired for comparing people who supported vaccinations to Nazis. which is not something Disney wanted on it's whimsical show about space wizards for some reason.
No. She got fired for saying that in Germany they didn’t just immediately start throwing people in ovens. It started with demonizing certain people. Exactly like how Dems demonized anyone refusing an experimental clot shot.

Ummm ummm Country stolen by Nazis. guess he doesn't believe in the will of the people. How very Nazi of him

It's not just like Nazi Germany. It's not just like Russia. But it's a little bit similar to both of them in a lot of ways. The corruption. How Trump fooled Americans with his crazy rhetoric. Demonizing gays and minorities.

Trump hasn't marched anyone into ovens, or poisoned his political rivals, YET. He hasn't lied us into a war like GW Bush yet. But there are similarities to Bush too.

Actually, here's what the dumb cow actually said that made Disney (which had given her PLENTY of warnings) finally fire her.

“Jews were beaten in the streets, not by Nazi soldiers but by their neighbors…. even by children.” The actor continued to say, “Because history is edited, most people today don’t realize that to get to the point where Nazi soldiers could easily round up thousands of Jews, the government first made their own neighbors hate them simply for being Jews. How is that any different from hating someone for their political views?”

So many things wrong with that statement, it's hard to know where to start.

The first one being that European Anti-Semitism went back hundreds of years.

The other is that quite the contrary, most Germans had no idea the Holocaust was going on. Public opinion in Germany was against the Kristallnacht (Night of Broken Glass, where Jewish stores were looted and burned), so the Nazis started doing stuff in secret.

Now, if you want to see how creating hate like the Nazis is done, just look at the fearmongering Trump did against undocumented immigrants or transgender people.

Undocumented workers need to get documented or leave.

And way too many gays voted for Trump

'TRUMP: BAN MEN FROM WOMEN’S SPORTS! I agree 100% w/@realdonaldtrump,' Jenner captioned. 'Kamala supports men and boys in sports with women and girls. It’s not safe and it’s not fair. It’s anti-woman!'

Jenner also showed support for Trump when the former president got prosecuted in New York for 34 counts of falsifying business records amid his hush money scandal.

And women

Aside from Jenner, former NASCAR racer Danica Patrick also sung Trump's praises during a Pennsylvania rally and labelled Kamala Harris 'evil.'

'We're not living in a time of Republican (versus) Democrat, we're living in good vs. evil,' Patrick said.

'We're living in right vs. wrong. And I want to be on the right side of that history because this is the most important decision we will see in our life - getting Donald Trump into office.'

On the other hand, you did your best to tell everyone “the border is secure”, “inflation is transitory” and “ he’s the best Joe ever”.

So like you did with Reagan?

There were Jews who thought Hitler would be good for the economy.

They asked some survivors why they didn't take Hitler more seriously, and the response was, "Everyone was an anti-Semite back then, Hitler didn't seem much worse than anyone else."

My wife showed me an email that was circulated in the Chinese community, praising Trump and calling Harris "a vile woman". And this was from a supposed pastor.

All that said, I put most of the blame on this debacle on Biden himself. Not that his policies were that bad, but because of his stubborn refusal to recognize that at 81, he wasn't up to running a presidential campaign.

Woody Allen said that 90% of success is just showing up. The Democrats didn't show up.

Nonsense. The left did show up and people realized they were as much a danger to themselves as they were to thinking humans.

2024: The year incumbent governments lost power

2024 has undergone an immense political change, incumbent governments and parties around the world being defeated in elections. These changes in political leadership have been ongoing among a multitude of nations globally.

  • United Kingdom: The ruling Conservative Party, in power for over a decade, suffered a significant defeat. Labour, led by Keir Starmer, won with promises of change and policies focusing on public services and economic reforms.
  • South Africa: The African National Congress (ANC), dominant since the end of apartheid, lost its parliamentary majority for the first time. A coalition of opposition parties has taken charge, reflecting voter frustration with corruption and poor governance.
  • Japan: The Liberal Democratic Party (LDP), which has governed for much of the post-war period, lost its majority in elections. This result stems from public dissatisfaction with economic stagnation and demographic challenges.
  • France: President Emmanuel Macron’s party faced a backlash after calling for snap parliamentary elections. A coalition of left-wing and centrist parties gained ground, capitalising on discontent over controversial reforms.
  • India: Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Bharatiya Janata party was re-elected for a third term, but lost his parliamentary majority for the first time in a decade.
  • Senegal: President Macky Sall’s alliance suffered a major defeat, with opposition leader Bassirou Diomaye Faye winning the presidential election. This marked a significant generational and ideological shift, reflecting growing youth dissatisfaction with established political structures.
  • Bangladesh: The Awami League’s grip on power weakened significantly, with opposition parties gaining substantial ground amid concerns about democratic processes and economic management.
There were some notable exceptions, such as Mexico and Ireland.
