Time to Drain the Educational Swamp

I agree with that. But that is a small, very small proportion of teachers. Even the very good ones are being driven out by horrid behavior, more and more expectations, and a public that not only doesn't support them, but actively hates them.

All for not-great to awful pay.
Quit already!

The statist left call America a demockracy but enlightened Americans call our America a "Constitutionally based Republic.
Then why do y'all support President Trump having so much control and power over the states and citizens within? Why do you support such huge sweeping federal executive power if you believe we are a constitutional republic???

If you want actual evidence, look at the educational performance numbers since the department of education was put in place.

It’s been a downward spiral. It’s not all their fault, but they certainly have a hand in children failing and having worse educational performance… but what should you expect from a bloated, state-controlled body like this. Democrats need to Pick up a history book and stop living in an emotional, knee jerk eternal present

The radicals took over the schools, and nobody stopped them. Now it will take a while to shed them.

All school districts in the U.S. are independent, there are no Federal school systems. They can all refuse to take Federal money any time they choose and do away with all the strings attached to it. They don't, instead they demand more money from the Fed; vouchers are just another string. Poor neighborhoods aren't going to bus anybody off to elite private boarding schools in any mass numbers, and the numbers of good teachers and small class sizes aren't going to increase as a result of vouchers. That's just silly rubbish propaganda. Any school district in the U.S. can do a lot better all by themselves, by simply telling the Feds to shove it and set their own standards.

I went to a small school in a blue collar town. The radio stations and news media in Dallas thought we were some elite rich neighborhood because out academic levels were so high on college entrance exams. it was all about the locals demanding no pampering of their kids and get them out poverty and into viable professions and off the factory floors and construction sites where they themselves had to work. The kids who didn't give a shit were tossed out, not allowed to drag everybody else down with them.
