Tik Tok Is Offically Banned In The US

Like I said, you're jealous. I'm happy when anyone prospers.

Again, Tiktok has made a lot of millionaires.

If it eventually gets banned in this country they'll move to YouTube or Instagram.

You're jealous that you had to spend your life at a miserable job you hated.

Typical leftist
You're so easily wound up, lol

I'm British, always voted Tory, but will be voting Reform at the next election.

I'm self employed and enjoy what I do.

Oh I hear you!

Ever heard of Rednote? I read a lot of those Tiktokers migrated to that Chinese site. I am just recently hearing about Rednote. Not that, I would go there. I have plenty of other places to go.
There's also the American site, Clapper. Almost identical. But tiktok isn't going anywhere. Our Chinese stooge (you know, the "controlled opposition ") is already on the job 😂

You're acting like a leftist. And yeah you're jealous that millions can now work for themselves doing what they actually want

Never heard of it. I'm on 4 forums and YouTube. And that's it, I don't have anything else.

I view YouTube videos through ducduckgo, so no adverts whatsoever. So I don't know if the video producer receives any advertising kickback for that.

Tik Tok is offically banned in the US. The Google App store and Apple App store have removed the apps from their App stores.

I wonder if anyone on here is/was a Tiktok user?

I was on there. I never posted videos. I just mostly followed a lot of my friends on the site.

I can assure that, they are not pleased. Lol

There's nothing to worry about if you don't work for the US government. But I don't use TikTok or Chinese products. :)

👉 TikTok's data collection practices are comparable to other social media platforms, but with some notable distinctions:

- Data Types: TikTok collects personal information, device data, and user interactions similar to Facebook and Instagram. However, it also gathers biometric data like faceprints and voiceprints, which is less common among competitors[2][4].

- Third-Party Tracking: TikTok has been criticized for extensive third-party tracking, with studies indicating it allows more third-party access than other apps. This raises concerns about data privacy and the potential misuse of collected information[3][5].

- Overall Intrusiveness: While some analyses suggest TikTok collects a similar amount of data as its peers, others highlight its more aggressive tracking methods, making it one of the more intrusive platforms in terms of user monitoring[2][3][4].

👉 President-elect Donald Trump plans to issue an executive order to delay a TikTok ban, allowing its Chinese parent company, ByteDance, more time to find an approved buyer. He argues that this extension is necessary to protect national security while keeping TikTok operational in the U.S. Trump suggested a joint venture where the U.S. could hold a 50% stake, asserting that this would "rescue TikTok" and maintain its value, which he claims could be worth hundreds of billions of dollars[1][6][8].
