This Tree Is As Old As The Great Pyramid

Wow, I didn't know that trees lived this long.

If the tree is alive then where are its leaves?

Gee, I bet that wood would sure make a great smoking pipe! :dunno:

Actually, I think stromatolites are the oldest. That tree is a mere piker. :safetocomeoutff:
Stromatolites are "colonies". Not single organisms. And we haven't really been able to figure out the ages of some of the organisms located around the black smokers in the ocean depths.

The leaves are the little green needles that you see. That's how the tree conserves water in the arid environment.

I'm not seeing the needles though. 😕

Point taken. Still, when I see that tree, the first thing that comes to mind is that when it dies, the fight over the wood in it being sold to the highest bidder to be sliced up and sold to make tables and hearths and things for rich people with cash to burn. BIG money in that stuff these days.

Damn that's old. Considering Cleopatra lived closer in time to the moon landings; than the construction of the pyramids. By a lot...
