That is just a fancy way of saying not a real particle. A fermion, is just any ordinary (hadronic) matter particle making up the firmament that consists of quarks (strong generated) and leptons (no strong interaction, mostly electrons) which obey the exclusion principle whose 1/2 spin necessitates a real counter-particle. In this case, it merely behaves as if a real particle were present under certain conditions in the presense of intense magetism at near absolute zero.

Dirac was a guy who basically laid a lot of the seeds for modern particle/quantum physics.

The interesting unstated fact here is that charged leptons can be made to carry some of the behavior characteristics of actual (fermionic) matter.
