This is a very large number for a population of 14M and it is going to explode.

I could soon be homeless thanks to the criminal animals who have been destroying my life for decades.

About 81,500 people experienced homelessness in Ontario in 2024, a new report has found, a 25 per cent increase compared to 2022.

So let me get this right, you don't want this market solution, you want big government?

The government meddling is why we are in this position. The Police State has destroyed Canadas economy and these apparatuses along with Canandian banks who make billions a year based on protection from competition is why Canadians earn $22k less a year than Americans and why we have far less wealth. It is why I laugh when O'Leary pushes the Canandia /U.S merger, "but with Canandians remaining Canandians". He exposed himself with that last comment. Americans in the past knew what Canada was, especially in regards to the Police State activities in Ontario. Todays Americans and some of your less patriotic police agencies in Los Angeles, New York and Florida for instance, work to become more like us. You will learn what that means in time, the sacrifices of your soldiers, as with ours, discarded on.the mantel of manufactured threats for budgetary and power increases.

The US isn't any better.

It depends larger on where you live though right?

Sure, but it's still, for the most part, a dog eat dog world.

Mississippi has the lowest rate of homelessness, but I doubt it's because they're the best at dealing with homelessness, I'd say people just get run out of town. And those more likely to be homeless might be more attracted to the big cities.

Might also depend a lot of property prices too, which nobody seems to be doing anything about, my Mississippi work colleague complains about how much prices have gone up since he left.

But you want a central planning solution?

Strange.
Who said that? .Police States wre the most central.of all systems, housing built by government as sold at cost to citizens wouldn't be the worst outcome truth be told but I havent endorsed such a solution

Well you're the one complaining about the state the free market has left housing in.
It has been the government intervention and protectionism that created this mess. The meddling in careers and econnic potential. If you are a multi billionaire and you want to open up a bank in Canada as free market allows, Canada will tell you to "take off, we are protecting our state.controlled and defnded banking sector.". In terms of housing, there are worse policies than government sale. of small homes for the poor at cost.
