thinking of Afghanistan, what comes to your mind then?

I suppose you have the military expertise to back up that with sound reasoning.

Just so you know, I am the father of an Afghanistan War veteran.
So, let's clear this up. Janet has the advantage of studying the military experts who helped to controll the war in Afghanistan while all you have is giving offspring to some Pfc who happened to have been in Afghanistan. Hmmmmm, not a very difficult choice for me to choose who to believe.

Just so you know, I am a Vietnam War Veteran but I probably knew less about that war (while I was there) than my father did who's never even been in Vietnam.

The epitome of evil, especially when it comes to their women. Not long ago, the Taliban government (such as it is) came out with a decree that women were no longer to talk to each other.
While we were there, we should have had our female military personnel go around and ask the women and girls if they wanted to be free from their oppression and any who would say yes, well they should have been given free transport out and a start here in the US or other nation of their choice.
well said! 👍

I think of a 4th world country that has been invaded by the Mauras, Ghengis Kahn, Alexander the Great, the Turks, the Mughals, various Persians, the Brits, Russia, and the US, and they are still standing. Their culture is what keeps them together and they are so backward and are so fukked up we can't add anything of value.
