'They don't deserve anything': GOP senator Tuberville says CA wildfire victims shouldn't get aid

Cali’s budget is something like the 8th biggest on Earth if it was its own nation….and they cannot pay for the most basic things?

They willfully neglected so many things to contribute to this $250 billion manmade catastrophe.

-NO WATER
-NO FIRE BREAKS
-NO CLEARING OF DEAD VEGETATION
-NO CLEARING OF OVERGROWN VEGETATION
-NOT ENOUGH FIRE PERSONNEL
-NOT ENOUGH FIRE EQUIPMENT
-EQUIPMENT FROM OUTSIDE THE STATE HELD UP FOR EMISSIONS TESTING
-NOT DEALING EFFECTIVELY TO STOP ARSONISTS

I would not go so far as Tuberville, but events like this should wake up even the most fucking stupid cult members as to how terrible Dems are at leadership.

Then change the constitution so average people aren't wiped out. That's wrong.
Why is it the duty of the Federal Government to make sure that people aren’t wiped out? I certainly don’t find anything in the Constitution that makes it the duty of the Government and I do not find any personal moral or legal obligation to assist imbeciles who consistently place themselves in danger from common natural and manmade disasters.

They all deserve it because they're American citizens fascist.
People who vote for that depravity in CA deserve nothing but what they vote for. People repeating the same mistake over and over expecting something different.

No.

Now, here's a question to you:

Do the people ravaged by Helene deserve it? Or are they just all Trump-loving MAGA hicks to you?

LoL the garbage took out the trash

The Senator is right we need to encourage Cali to start doing the safe and correct thing in terms of preventing these wildfires
And they have the money to fight the fires. Instead they spend those billions of dollars on illegal invaders! Why? Bass and newsom are paid huge bribes by mexico.

More people voted for the blob in california than any other state.
Prog voters wanted this.
The irony is that he is from Alabama which: 1) gets substantially more in Federal money than it sends to the government; 2) is an almost annual recipient of Federal aid after hurricanes.
Where does most of that money go then. Atlanta received hundreds and hundreds of billions of dollars and maybe trillions over several decades until it now is reliably Prog with the suburbs included.

He’s entirely correct. I still cannot find any specific item in the US Constitution for any form of State level disaster relief from the Federal Government.
Of course that's true. According to the 10a, 99% of what the feds do is unconstitutional.
