We now have two shooting incidents where BLM is directly implicated for attacks on white people for no reason other than they are white. I think that BLM needs to shut up and go home before they end up with a real race war on their hands.

You're not understanding what "Black Lives Matter" is. It's not an organization. There's no hierarchy or structure. It can't be "implicated" in anything, because it isn't an entity unto itself. It's the same as the "tea party".

Trying to paint the entire Black Lives Matter movement as racist is as stupid as when those on the left did the same to the tea party. If you look at the pictures from any of these rallies, you'll see that there are thousands of white people who are part of "Black Lives Matter".

That is for the most part true. However, there IS a small group of self proclaimed "leaders" within the BLM movement, and it is they, and the rhetoric that they have promulgated, that has led to this.

I was talking about their freedom of speech vs my common sense on if I should go to witness it.

If your stepson really wants to go, and if you are up for it, I'd say go. I have two sons slightly older than yours and if they wanted to go I would go with them (and stand at a comfortable distance).

How about with ISIS? Would you let him go there too?
