Just my personal opinion, but I don't think MAGA supporters really care if Trump's name is in the files per se. I think they know Trump is a man-whore with some pervy tendencies. They accepted that long ago.

But even they have lines that can't be crossed. Trump's strengths is that he's self-aware when it comes to his branding and the branding of his image. He knows 'his people'. He knows what turns them on and what would turn them off. My 'spidey' senses tell me he's really afraid that whatever's in those files is going to imprint an image in the minds of his supporters they'll never be able to erase.

I suspect they will quite selectively release redacted files at some point. They can't just alter files in whatever way they want, though -- not legally anyway. Records laws are a thing.

The Journal is just one of those in the big club. The media is not fair and/or objective as much as it is politically motivated today. Yet you would call it free speech.
