I am not a fan of Bill O'Reilly, but as the saying goes, even a broken clock can be right twice a day.

And sometimes a kernel of truth or a nugget of wisdom can be unearthed from the thickened and hardened crust of his overbearing blathering.

For example, several years ago on his Fox News Channel program The O'Reilly Factor, he said he believes that all good Jews, Christians, and Muslims will go to heaven.

I can get behind that.

I would also add people of all other religions and philosophies to that list, as well as people with no faith or beliefs.

What say you?

Christians invented Hell to use as a threat to compel obedience. They must believe that other religions who are not Christian will go to hell or their threat has no power.

Heaven is a human construct.
No, it either exists or it does not.

The post above talking about who gets in and who does not if it does exist is a human construct.

If it does exist, I can guarantee you that Bill Rielly is not the gatekeeper if and when you arrive there, so you better consult the one who runs the place.

The afterlife does exist for those of us who have experienced it. For others it seems to be programed into our minds.

I know that the tendency for the average skeptic is to believe that everyone eventually will experience a heaven like state when they die, based on how they perceive it to be, and then at some point the lights go out forever. But I have read some near death accounts that simply refute this notion, specifically, near death experiences where people have left their bodies and gone to other areas where they body no longer was at as they described conversations people had in other rooms next to where they died. In fact, one such event happened to a person blind since birth. So, not only did he recall conversations people had he had no way of being privy to, he described what is was like seeing for the first time as he described his entire surroudings.

And when they brought him back to life, you guessed it, he was blind again.

So what. Of course hes blind he is back in his blind body.
This is physically impossible
Terminal lucidity is a rare phenomenon where a person with a severe cognitive or neurological disorder, like dementia, experiences a sudden and brief return of mental clarity shortly before death. During this episode, they may recognize loved ones, speak coherently, or recall memories, often leading to a surge of energy or even physical activity. This period of clarity can last from minutes to a few days before the person's death.

When the body is near death the memory and emotions separate and are intact. These are cases of severe brain damage.

What is impossible is for someone to leave their body as they observe other places their body was not located, as they recall things they could only have known had they been there.

But the blind man describing what it was like to see for the first time is a kicker for me. The only way he could have known that was to actually be able to see for the first time, but only because he left the body that prevented him from seeing for the first time.

This appears to prove the existence of a spirit that is not reliant on the body. But as far as the theological conception of a Heaven.....not.

I wonder how Bill describes what a "good" person is.

In fact, how do you describe what a "good" person is?

And what of the person that is not "good"?

What happens to them?
There is no black and white as far as I'm concerned. Didn't Jesus say there are many mansions in his father's realm, or something to that effect.

You can believe what you want. The Bible teaches something else

No, the OTHER Church borrowed the concept of hell from paganism. Jesus however, did teach the Lake of Fire to end everything physical before the Father makes His permanent home the New Earth

The only reason for Hell is to threaten people into obedience. There is no Hell in the Bible (Old Testament) or a devil. There is no original sin or the fall of man. Jesus was myth he never existed in fact he is literally an idol

Explain why Christians invented hell and a devil when there is no original sin or any of that in the Old Testament. Whats the purpose?
If you dont believe in Jesus youre going to hell. Isnt that a threat.

The Catholic Church borrowed the pagan concept of hell. The common version isn't Biblical.

If I'm not a Jew, I dont have a future.
Your people teach the same thing, but you have no real answers. Your religion is spiritually weak and empty

Jews believe in Sheol the afterlife. We all return to God. There is no Hell. We believe everyone goes to the after life.
You never explained why Christians invented Hell. Its a threat to force obedience. What other possible reason is their.
Jews have 3000 years of thinking long before the first Christian murdered a Gnostic
