We thought it one of the best tv shows we’d seen in awhile. Apparently it’s one of the most watched shows ever on Netflix.

Very well written and the young actress playing Beth was outstanding.

Hard to believe they could make Chess compelling

They made a show out of 2) c4? ... crazy ... that's a closed game, boring, do they accept the gambit and allow e4? ... I'll take 1) ... Nf6 everyday ... get the QB on b7 ...

I watched it. I found one small thing that bothered me. When her adopted mom was allowing her to miss school she would call with all sorts of excuses but then she would end up in the news and magazines. I have to think the school would have caught on.

BTW the actress was also in Peaky Blinders. Another series I liked.
