, didn't Hitler run on "making Germany Great Again!"? And didn't he use scapegoats, like religious differences and dysfunctional government, as party building blocks? And didn't his brown shirts cite some vague violence against them as justification for their violence, sort of like a protester walking by without a word or look who gets suckerpunched, and the party blames the protester and the candidate pays his legal fees? How did a land so filled with intellectuals and learning, so well ordered, so beautiful with grand towns and wide rivers, how did this land become the Germany we think of today? You see no patterns? Because when the scales fell from German eyes, it was too late. So if some of us seem a tad paranoid, give us a little room to remember. The steps will not be an exact copy, but the pattern is there and a form is growing.
