Florida is a right-to-work state like Virginia. Local school systems are not responsible to see that union dues are withdrawn from teacher paychecks.

Because the person asked them to. When I was in the Corps I had all sorts of things being withheld so I did not have to pay them via mail.

i agree with this.....in the PO its all voluntary but yet the ones who filed a lot of the grievances were the ones who bitched about the union the most and were not members....

Because the person asked them to. When I was in the Corps I had all sorts of things being withheld so I did not have to pay them via mail.

When I worked for Dupont the one they would not take out was for Aflac Insurance because they said getting paid extra over your sick leave was not right. I had to pay that one myself.
