What about what our own government has done to the American people through malicious manipulation of the legal process, like in Waco and Ruby Ridge?

Is that all just a fart in the wind, but unforgivable if Mexicans do it?
A Suspect in Mexico Massacre of 9 Americans Was Arrested, but Questions Remain

The same Deep State that did Waco and Ruby Ridge also set up the Sinola Cartels way back when after WW2 to supply troops with illegal opium.
CONFIRMED: The DEA Struck A Deal With Mexico's Most Notorious Drug Cartel

There have long been allegations that Guzman, considered to be "the world’s most powerful drug trafficker," coordinates with American authorities.

But the El Universal investigation is the first to publish court documents that include corroborating testimony from a DEA agent and a Justice Department official.

The written statements were made to the U.S. District Court in Chicago in relation to the arrest of Jesus Vicente Zambada-Niebla, the son of Sinaloa leader Ismael "El Mayo" Zambada and allegedly the Sinaloa cartel’s "logistics coordinator."...

Zambada-Niebla also alleged that Operation Fast and Furious was part of an agreement to finance and arm the cartel in exchange for information used to take down its rivals. (If true, that re-raises the issue regarding what Attorney General Eric Holder knew about the gun-running arrangements.)

How is it so many things that are bad for this country trace back to Washington DC swamp creatures?
Sinaloa Cartel - Wikipedia

Statements from a Mexican diplomat, which were revealed from leaked emails from the Stratfor leak in 2012, appeared to imply the belief amongst Mexican officials that US officials were assisting the Sinaloa cartel's drug smuggling efforts into the US and were protecting the cartel while attacking its rivals in an attempt to lower violence between Mexican drug cartels; this was backed up by information provided by Mexican foreign agent, codenamed MX1.[108] The allegation the US officials were controlling the drug trade through Mexico was perpetuated by the former spokesman of the State of Chihuahua, Guillermo Terrazas Villanueva.[109]

In March 2015, BBC TV programme This World broadcast an episode entitled "Secrets of Mexico's Drug War"[110] which reported on the US government's Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives' Operation Fast and Furious which had allowed licensed firearms dealers to sell weapons to illegal buyers acting on behalf of Mexican drug cartel leaders, in particular the Sinaloa Cartel.[111] The BBC also reported on Vicente Zambada Niebla's claims of immunity from prosecution under a deal between the Mexican and US governments and his claims that the Sinaloa Cartel's leaders had provided US federal agents with information about rival Mexican drug gangs.[112] In the same documentary it is shown that the US Justice Department invoked national security reasons to prevent Humberto Loya Castro, the lawyer of the Sinaloa Syndicate, from being summoned as a witness to the trial against Vicente Zambada Niebla.

The rot truly runs very deep in Washington DC.

How about all of our mass shootings that repubs do nothing about? 9 dead? That's a tragedy, but nothing compared to our worst mass killings.

What would you like done?
It is time for some serious talks with the President of Mexico about what aid we can give him to conquor the Drug Cartels, legalize the drug trade to defund them and to declare the cartels terrorists.

Or else we invade Mexico and install a new government after we execute all the cartel members under martial law.

With a sweep of the legislative pen, we could legalized recreational drugs and put the cartels out of business overnight.

We did the same thing in 1933 with bootleggers.

Mostly rubbish; the people who feed these cartel scum are dopers, and claiming ' da gubmint makes them do it' is just stupid attempts at shifting blame away from amoral scum with no principles. 'legalizing it' is just an admission of weakness rewarding pieces of shit who didn't care what these cartels did with their money as long as they got their mindless self-indulgent buzzes and fuck everybody else. They're just another sub-culture of scum that needs to be deported; they will still be the same low life scum after legalization. If you want to believe these stupid fake 'documentaries' from left wing film school hippies I have these bags of magic beans you can smoke for only $100 an ounce.

legalizing it' is just an admission of weakness rewarding pieces of shit who didn't care what these cartels did with their money as long as they got their mindless self-indulgent buzzes and fuck everybody else.

Precisely the same argument that kept alcohol prohibition the law of the land for 13 years.

The bottom line is, people are going to drink and people are going to take recreational drugs. Recreational drug users aren't just amoral stoners. They include housewives, teachers, members of congress, police officers, submarine commanders, airline pilots, and members of the clergy.

There isn't a demographic in our country that doesn't include at least a few recreational drug users.

No law can stop that and by criminalizing them, you create an illegal market that creates a Trillion $ business in illegal trade.

Cannabis has been illegal in the US for nearly 100 years. Federal enforcement of drug laws started in 1930. We declared an all out 'war on drugs' in 1970.

Since then, all we've done is spend a Trillion $ on enforcement and created a global crime organization that make Al Capone and the mobs of the 20's and 30' look like amateurs.

It's time to end the charade and put the cartels out of business.

Actually Prohibition was still more popular than repeal but the government wanted the tax revenue back and repealed it anyway. It was very successful in reducing drunkenness despite how weak the laws were, since drinking was never banned, just the transportation and sale. You could have a cellar full the stuff legally. Many states remained dry after repeal, and many were dry before Prohibition was enacted nationally, so you degenerate dopers making these scumbag cartel gangsters rich don't have any real arguments in your favor, and don't really care who they murder rape and kill.

So you admit only scum keep the cartels in business. I agree. Thanks.

so you degenerate dopers making these scumbag cartel gangsters rich

I don't use drugs, I believe they should be legalized. I don't drink, I believe alcohol should be legal. I don't smoke, I disagree with laws the put controls on people who smoke.

What people do to themselves is none of my business. But, the cartels, who only exist to service an illegal drug market, harm others and have turned Mexico into a failed state.

lol Mexicans turned Mexico into a failed state. And yes, what criminals do may not be your business, but it's mine and others business. Just as faggots never keep their sicko deviancy 'in their private bedrooms', neither do murdering gangster scum ever do that either.

Criminals just find another means by which they can make money and gain power illegally.

And government finds another thing to criminalize.

The US created a federal drug enforcement agency in 1930, knowing full well that when alcohol prohibition was repealed in the next couple of years it would eviscerate the FBI. They needed to create a purpose for the FBI beyond Prohibition.

Since then drug enforcement infrastructure is several times larger than the FBI of the '30s that oversaw federal alcohol enforcement, with several times the budget even adjusting for inflation.

Dysfunctional government is no excuse for crime. Fix the enforcement .

Fighting crime is not a dysfunction of government, it is a function of government. The larger, more authoritarian the government, the more crimes they will create to be fought.

Law enforcement doesn't write or create law. In our system of government, only elected officials can do that.

Law enforcement answers to those elected officials.
Dysfunctional government directs law enforcement. Where I live DUI is now legal. That’s the cop taking orders from above.
