Antifa's Disrupts UC Davis Event While Police Stand By and Do Nothing

Turning Point USA was holding an event on the campus of UC Davis featuring a black conservative named Brandon Tatum. Just prior to the event, the group set up a pop-up tent and a table outside to promote the event. But a group of Antifa goons dressed in black block marched in and tore down the tent and ran off with it. There were campus police standing there watching but they did next to nothing.

This was about an hour before the event start, and it appears the event was able to go on. But taking others property violently is illegal, and should be punished accordingly.

All of this happened an hour before the actual event, which apparently was not disrupted.

A spokesperson for the university said that about an hour before the scheduled event, a group of 30 demonstrators approached a tent and table staffed by those supporting the event. That's when the dispute occurred.

"A demonstrator struck one observer who approached the group with a camera phone," the spokesperson said. "Other demonstrators pulled down the tent and engaged in shoving with those staffing the tent and others nearby. The demonstrators left the area, then returned a few minutes later and again sought to remove a tent set up on the quad."

Officials said the UC Davis Police Department took one report of assault, but no one requested medical assistance.

The event took place as scheduled, the university said. The campus is now reviewing its safety preparations for the event.
