I have watched the first of eight episodes of this show, and I'm really liking it.

Ethan Hawke plays a self-annointed Oklahoma "truthstorian" (citizen journalist) investigating stories for a local rag in the absence of a mainstream press.

He is the proverbial "man who knows too much" and is harrassed, beaten, and otherwise attempted to be dissuaded from his efforts by the corrupt people he is looking into. Which, of course, makes him all the more dogged in his pursuits.

The chief target of his efforts is a powerful political family with wide business connections, and Lee Raybon (Hawke) starts with the tiniest of threads as he pursues his possibly imaginary goal.

It's a down and dirty show and a lot of fun.

According to the list of cast members, Peter Dinklage is in this show, though he does not make an appearance in Episode One. I am looking forward to his contributions.

There is also a gobsmackingly beautiful young woman in it I have never seen before. Abbie Cobb. In one of her headshots on the internet she looks like she is smiling and snarling at the same time.

Oh. My. God.

The best line in Episode One: "There’s nothing worse than a white man who cares."

Just finished the series last night.

Holy cow. If this doesn't sweep the Emmys I will be very disappointed.

This show is a masterpiece. The writing, the casting, the acting. Everything was perfect.

The casting director found the exact right people for each role and they all performed flawlessly.

The Indian bodyguards, the caviar poachers, the daughter, the dead Washberg guy, the private investigator (Brian Keith), and whatever Peter Dinklage was supposed to be.

The humor hits all the right notes, the diversions from the main plot are all brilliant plays within themselves.

The little details, like the handing of the handkerchiefs at the two opposite cookouts, are brilliant.

They say there are no small parts, only small actors. This is a true fact in this show. No one is small here.

Fantastic.

Funniest line in Episode 7:

Lee: I need to get a good lawyer.

Funniest moment in Episode 8:

Marty: It's for cow *****!
Lee: I know. I didn't want you to see that.
