I think Trump really did want to take on the entire swamp in his first term, and it pissed off the conservative swamp monsters who then never supported Trump or even helped when the democrap swamp monsters fought back. There still are today many conservative swamp monsters and Trump is avoiding pissing them off as much as possible while going after the democraps with a vengeance. The problem is, as you pointed out, the swamp will just sway from left to right this way. We need a third party that is 100% MAGA and not afraid of any swamp monsters.
